Originally born in Barcelona, Spain, Johnny moved to Vancouver
when he was 2 years old and has spent most of his life here. It was
only a few years ago when he went back to Spain to visit the
magical "white island" of Ibiza, where his first club experience ever was at Pacha in Ibiza. Chanting the anthems of "Call On Me" and "Lolas Theme" he quickly became addicted to house music.
Over the last few years Johnny has learned from some of
Vancouver's most prominent Dj's such as Jesse James and
DarylO. Johnny quickly popped up on the scene and started
playing in Vancouver's biggest clubs such as Republic, Celebrities, and Caprice.
He is largely influenced by house music but he also has the ability
to play for any crowd of people and rock out any genre of music
from hip-hop, electro-pop, classic 80's jams and anything that gets
the crowd dancing. His talent is in huge demand in this city and he
is on fire! Watch out for this kid.

No matter what language you speak, if you're looking to dance until you can't dance no more, then the only name you have to remember is Marlon J English. With a wealth of residencies across downtown Vancouver, plus experience behind the decks totalling the number of years an average sixth-grader has been alive (that's 12, if you're keeping up), English is
neither hard to find nor new to getting the crowd jumping.
The native Albertan, who got his start spinning at a friend's house and has been
a local nightclub institution ever since, always comes with a mixedbag of
sonic treats for his enthusiastic 24-hour party people. "You will never hear
me play country or metal," says English. "Everything else is fair game in
a musical experience with me." His mixed party bag of
sonic treats
includes something old and something new,
something timeless and
something true. This charismatic
musical selector admits he may have already played 'the
perfect party,' but remains one of the hardest-working
professional DJs in town. No doubt, English is an
"all-around
good-times"-type musical selector.
His first gig out he was on the bill for a Halloween
after-hours party in
'95, a night when "every other party
in the city was busted. So," he
says, "The World was the
spot."
Make no mistake about it — English is a
full-time DJ who is
constantly working to
entertain, energize and amuse.
So then, you might ask, "What keeps
him going?"
Well, that's simple. "It's
the love of music and making
people
dance," English says. Now he's talking
your
language, isn't he?

Born and raised in Burnaby, British Columbia. D-Spun began
toying with his dad's stereo and record collection at an early
age. He was lucky to be the kin of parents with a love for
good music and plenty of records in their collection. Dave
quickly gravitated towards music early in his life and was heavily by hip-hop specifically. Although rumors abound that he's also able play a mean guitar if the situation permits. People close to Dave have been known to say "the man has music in his veins."
Dave was hypnotized from the first time he stepped into a nightclub and
witnessed the spectacle first hand. He quickly got hooked by the experience and
the idea of rocking a club all to himself and began collecting music and learning
the ropes however he could. He took an interest in dance music early and
started working|
his way onto the
scene. Luckily Dave'solder brother was there
to help. He
took him to his first rave (he was 14), and it didn't hurt that
he
had a sizeable techno record collection of his own.
Although Dave still
likely had Mariah Carey posters on his
wall,he also had an intricate
knowledge of underground
dance music by only Grade 9.
Funny enough D-Spun's first gig was in a Country
bar in his
hometown. Maybe it's not the most
flattering music selection
for your first gig but
it's a start! Dave's musical knowledge and
knack
for reading crowds were an instant hit and it
was clear
there was a new kid on the block.
It wasn't long before D-Spun became a well
known name in
the Vancouver nightclub scene.
He looks up to a lot of the
local boys and has
always
strived to get himself to that level.
I don't usually throw
the word genius around, but when it
comes to D-Spun
and way he masterfully
weaves beats
together during
his sets,
I think it applies in this case.
